"We promote community, harmony, and peace with drum circles when we get everyone to play together and get into the same groove.  Drumming cleanses the spirit and is good for the soul."

"We of the Conscientious Consumer Club believe that we can contribute to the cause of peace by promoting a sense of community among individuals committed to a mission which promotes positive social and environmental change.  As Margaret Mead stated "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."  Certainly peace is a major goal of positive change, if not THE major goal.  We promote the Earth Charter principals, as well as support and promote other organizations that endorse it.  We think global and act local to promote the quality of life over quantity of things.  Our group is committed, growing and passionate about the ultimate change we are working toward."

"The Ecuadorian Iguana believes in supporting peace by helping to bring artists from other cultures into the worldwide market place.  We can learn much from understanding other cultures.  Supporting these wonderful artists helps to keep their culture alive through their art.  In addition, we believe that strict adherence to Fair Trade Practices furthers the cause of peace, making sure people and the environment are treated fairly with respect in the making of these products."

"The animals in our lives bring us joy, comfort, companionship, and often service.  They add immeasurably to our ability to be at peace among ourselves and with the universe.  I also celebrate the peace that comes from knowing that the governing principal behind all creation is Love."

We are helping to promote peace by offering a way to reduce dependency on the petroleum industry and large corporations, at least for all your candle needs.  We are a cottage industry producing unique handcrafted candles made from non-GMO soy and palm waxes, both renewable and biodegradable resources.  We scent with pure plant essences and produce designs that fit alternative and nature oriented lifestyles.

All the broken pieces come together in my three-dimensional mosaics to create lasting beauty. / When all the broken nations come together to create harmony / And all the broken people come together to join in love / We can user the broken pieces among mankind, I see my art as a way to contribute beauty, enjoyment, unity and tranquility for individuals as they relax and reflect during quiet moments.

Our congregation does a good job of being faithful as we gather at least 52 times a year to worship.  We do a fair job of showing mercy by providing services and food to pantries to victims of injustice and we are now part of a group called "Faith and Action for Strength Together (FAST).  This is a group of churches of all denominations throughout Pinellas County who gather on one accord to hold the political and economic systems accountable for fairness in our communities.  By uniting as one, we will have enough power to hold our sytems accountable as there is power in numbers.
Frances Scott, Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church

To me peace is what we bring to the minds of humanity, regardless of the world around us.  As an example, on a mission to build a school in Haiti I found the most improvished people yet without jobs, income or most necessities of life they sang, praised and thanked God for life.
